Zach Krasner is a self-taught digital designer and web developer. As the creator of ProFolio, he works with industry advanced applications to design unique, creative, elegant work that is clean and professional. Having started on web development at an early age, he builds his websites from a variety of techniques including HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript/JQuery and Flash.
ZachKrasner.com, home of the ZK Times, opened mid 2009 and is a digital daily newspaper of web design and development. It is a collection of articles and inspiration to help other enthusiastic web developers and designers further their mastery of the subject.
In a world where multiple skills are needed for successful web design and development, Krasner has been able to integrate his knowledge immaculately. He understands the standards of today along with the new and upcoming techniques so that his work is efficient, effective and extraordinary.

2. 16(ID-EDIT-NUM)Eyes(ID-EDIT-NUM)Eyes is the final piece from the vertical surrealistic portraits. It makes use of the negative space more than the others in the series. It was created in Photoshop.

4. 12(ID-EDIT-NUM)Sea of Fog(ID-EDIT-NUM)Rendered in Terragen 2, I finished it up in Photoshop. It reminds me of a airline advertisement for some reason. I like the crisp outcomes of the mountains above the clouds.
5. 11(ID-EDIT-NUM)Sophisticate(ID-EDIT-NUM)This is another piece from the vertical, surreal portrait series. I love how the woman melts into the background, while the piece of music subtly sits to the side. Like the others in the series, this was made in Photoshop.
6. 10(ID-EDIT-NUM)Expression With ink(ID-EDIT-NUM)This is one piece from a series of vertical surreal portraits. It's a favorite of mine, and it's one of my earlier works experimenting with color. Created in Photoshop.
7. 9(ID-EDIT-NUM)Burnished Film Reel(ID-EDIT-NUM)This is another study of metallic, reflective surfaces in Photoshop.
8. 8(ID-EDIT-NUM)Gordian(ID-EDIT-NUM)Gordian is one of my all time favorites. The name comes from the ancient legend of the Gordian Knot, an intricate rope knot that was finally unraveled by a cut from Alexander the Great's sword. Using a technique based off a tutorial, I used multiple vector shape masks to show only parts of the portrait at a time. This piece was selected as a cover for the Turkish graphic design magazine MacLine in 2009.
9. 7(ID-EDIT-NUM)Dr. Seus Sky(ID-EDIT-NUM)This piece reminds me of something out of a Dr. Seus book. I like the fluffy pink cotton candy clouds sitting so low over the water. Made with Terragen 2.
10. 6(ID-EDIT-NUM)Late(ID-EDIT-NUM)This is one of my favorite pieces. I made it in Terragen 2 and Photoshop, and I like how the light came out to be so contrasting with the mountains and bird. Great example of Terragen's capabilities with some moderate touching in PS.
11. 5(ID-EDIT-NUM)Fleur De Lis(ID-EDIT-NUM)I created this completely in Photoshop when I was working with creating shiny metallic textures in my designs. I like the outcome with the contrast on the lights and darks of the "flower."
12. 4(ID-EDIT-NUM)Free Bird(ID-EDIT-NUM)I created this piece in Apophysis, a fractal generation program. I worked with it for a while until I got the final birdlike appearance.

The first version of ProFolio, before paid accounts were available, had more than 30,000 downloads across the world. The newest version features paid accounts which allow users to set up a ProFolio instantly, hosts it for them, automatically updates their ProFolios with any new features released, and streamlines the whole system more efficiently and cleanly. The same minimalistic yet sophisticated design is used.
58. 38(ID-EDIT-NUM)The Zach Krasner Times(ID-EDIT-NUM)The Zach Krasner Times was a beautifully simple theory, yet sophisticated piece of development and coding, that ultimately acts as a news aggregator for graphic designers and web developers. It pulls new articles and pieces of artwork, websites, and logos from across the web every hour and creates a daily digital newspaper online. The design went through dozens of revisions before the simplistic and minimal design featured above was finally settled.

61. 35(ID-EDIT-NUM)ProjectMgrs(ID-EDIT-NUM)ProjectMgrs is a consulting company that asked me to redesign their website in a content management system. I developed a CMS specifically for their needs, which allowed basic pages with sub pages and a news system.
